Past experience as a book designer and editor on self-publishing projects drew Lucy Parker to the  PubClub. Originally from Chicago, she holds a degree in Journalism from Northwestern University. Her late husband's Navy career brought the couple to California in the '50s, where Lucy worked in higher education public relations (San Diego State, USC School of Medicine, Chapman University). Later, she spent 20+ years as a freelance writer and graphic designer, primarily for corporate clients. A 17-year Village resident, Lucy is involved in the Video Club's Short Dramatic Film series with special interest in screenwriting. The fifth edition (2008) of her popular resource book, “How to Start A Home-Based Writing Business,” (first published in 1997 by Globe Pequot Press as part of their home-based business series) is still available on Amazon.
