Born in Germany, Barbara & her brother traveled to America across the Atlantic on an ocean liner with their mother to meet their father who was stationed at a naval base in Florida. Raised and schooled in California, Barbara was inspired by Anne Frank's biography. She purchased her own diary at 10 years old, and has been journaling off and on ever since. Barbara left home at 18 years old to join the "peace movement" as a carefree, happy hippie in 1969 for two years. She then returned home, married and had one son. She ran a pipeline business from home, then divorced after 17 years. She remained single for two years, then remarried - now for 34 years. Barbara and her & husband have resided in the Village for the past 13 years. Feeling inspired by all the activities & clubs, especially the PubClub, Barbara plans to publish writings from her journal in the future.
