Doug Sainsbury
Doug Sainsbury, a native of Oak Park, IL, attended high school in the same building as Ernest Hemingway, which may be why he’s always dreamed of writing. He’s published three science fiction books to this point, Intrusion, Phantasm, and Emergence, and is feverishly working on more. His script “The Hole in One” was produced into a 20-minute movie.

Dorothy Hurford:
We are deeply saddened to share with you the loss this 16th September of Dorothy Hurford, PubClub member and two year Autumn Author Sponsor.
Dorothy was born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut and has lived in Southern California for over thirty years. She has worked professionally in Public Relations with a second career as a Fine Art Curator. Recently taking some creative writing classes and going through her personal journals that she had kept for many years, she decided to get serious about her own creative stories and poems.
Dorothy was very grateful to the Publishing Club members for their inspiration and encouragement to keep writing and the opportunity to be published. Her short stories and poems can be found in Village Stories 2022 and Village Stories 2023, with her final poem to follow in next year’s anthology, Village Stories 2024.
