While attending the University of Wisconsin, Jerry Schur was called to active duty in the U.S. Navy during World War II. When discharged, he graduated from Yale Law School. There followed 48 years practicing law in Chicago. His hobbies include bridge and the Civil War. His anthology of short fiction will be published soon.​
