Joanna H. Kraus is an award winning playwright of 20 published and widely produced scripts, two of which were done off Broadway, The Ice Wolf and Remember My Name. She’s the author of seven books for young readers, and wrote a children’s book review column for two decades in the East Bay News as well as a variety of newspaper and magazine articles.
Kraus, a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, earned an M.A. from UCLA and an EDD in Education from Columbia University.
Dr. Kraus taught in the Theatre Arts Department at the State University of New York, Brockport where she was also the administrator of the Arts for Children program.
Originally from Portland, Maine, she recently moved to Laguna Woods Village to be closer to her son and family.
