Lee MacMorris is a retired research librarian (Orange County Libraries), having previously retired from DOD (Department of Defense) as a military recreation center director for the Army and then the Air Force. That’s a total of over 50 years doing work I really enjoyed, plus the pleasure of living and working outside the continental U.S. off and on for 11 years. While addicted to reading fiction, my writing has been primarily “how-to” books. “The Lentil Cookbook'' for the Jurupa Mountains Cultural Center (1974) and “Success Now! The Bingo Manager’s Textbook” Astro Press, 1984. While employed by Abbott Medical Optics, I did research for, and formed a close friendship with, Dr. Sybille Scholtz which continues as a partnership in writing articles on various aspects of ophthalmology and medicine. This resulted in the 2023 publication of “Curiosities in Medicine," Springer Nature, Switzerland, 2023.
