Sharone Rosen is that rare creature, a native Californian, born in Hollywood and raised in Culver City. She has lived up and down the state, but never beyond it’s borders.
"Bathsheba's Harp" is her first venture into writing long-form fiction. Rosen’s publishing history consists of writing a monthly recipe column in the 1980s for Heritage Southwest Jewish Press. She also made part of her living writing, voicing and producing radio commercials. She always said, “Until now, my writing peaked in the :30 and :60 second format.” Her writing history also includes poems, and short stories, primarily in school and a few songs she sings and plays on guitar.
Sharone branched out into writing for TV, here in LWV, co-writing and acting in "Tales From the Woods" which aired on Village TV from 2019 to 2023.
From 1986 to 2016, Rosen served as the Cantor for Temple Beth Torah of the San Fernando Valley and concurrently spent 30 years as a radio announcer in a variety of music and news formats. During her 40s she returned to school and became a Doctor of Chiropractic.
